Since the semester is almost over, you may be feeling a little stressed to get all your work complete. Do not let the stress take over your body, take some time to relax and enjoy the sunny weather outside.
Franklin may be a small town but there are fun places you can visit that are nearby like Pete’s Nerd Emporium, Apricot Lane Boutique, Pretty is Pink Boutique, and Altitude Trampoline Park. At the Franklin Village Plaza some places to visit are Chipotle, Panera Bread, Famous Footwear, Marshalls, and Bath and Body Works.
If you want to get a workout in, consider trying out Club Pilates, BFT Franklin Village, and NRG Lab Fitness Center. To be outdoors, consider going for a walk at the Franklin Sculpture park or Franklin State Forest. Some of the most popular places to eat around Franklin are Sante Fe Burrito Grill, The Rome Restaurant, and Elizabeth's Bagels. Lastly, if you are big into Pokémon trading cards consider checking out Pokémon Trainers Universe in Franklin.
There is a five-star review about The Rome restaurant on their Instagram page which said that “the Rome is their favorite restaurant in Franklin serving genuine tasty food at a great price! All the kitchen, waiters and bar staff are very kind and accommodating to your needs while making your experience feel like you are part of The Rome family! If you are just wanting to have the soup of the day, a salad, or their rich but tasty Chicken Romano, I would really recommend going to The Rome any day of the week!”

You don’t have to be a sports fan to go check out Patriots Place and Gillette Stadium. If you are big into shopping, you can check out some of the stores at Patriots Place like Vineyard Vines, Victoria Secret/Pink, and CardVault by Tom Brady. Some fun activities to do are Crazy Axes, Muse Paint bar, Red Door Escape Room, Splitsville Luxury lanes, and ELEVENO pickle ball courts. You can try some workout classes at Pure Barre, Rev’d fitness, and go on a walk at the nature trail.
When you get hungry, there are lots of restaurants to eat at including Achilito’s Taqueria, Angel’s Café, Citizens Crust pizza, Chick-Fil-A, and Red Robin. Once you finish eating and are craving a sweet treat you can go to Crumbl Cookie, Cupcake Charlie’s, and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt which offers Dean students 20% off when they show their student IDs.
You are welcome to book a tour of Gillette Stadium when there are no games and visit the light house and check out the Patriots Hall of Fame. Lastly, you can go online to the Patriots Place website to see what events they have coming up. There was a five-star review on Google for Menchie's Frozen Yogurt at Patriots Place which said “Menchie's at Gillette Stadium is the best place to stop by! When you enter the store, there is wonderful smell, the place is always tidy, and the vibes are amazing. The manger is amazing, kind and keeps the place going smoothly. Certainly, one of the greatest Menchie's Location!”
If you are big into shopping, head on over to the Wrentham Premium Outlets which has lots of stores to shop at and places to get food as well. When you arrive at the outlets, you may notice how big the place is, so you should consider looking up a directory or map to figure out the stores you want to shop at and where they are located. Some popular shops there are Nike, Uggs, Aerie, American Eagle, Lululemon and a bunch more. Some stores are more expensive than others but does not mean you can’t still check them out. If you get hungry, you can eat at Cracker Barrel, get a pretzel from Auntie Anne’s, and go to Shake Shack.

There are also food trucks around the outlet selling different kinds of food as well. In the end, when you are in the shopping mood, head over to the Wrentham Premium Outlets to check out their stores. A Google review on the Nike factory Outlet was that “they have a variety of shoes at good prices and amazing customer service. Their staff and manager are very supportive and helpful, I would very much recommend!”
What if you don't have a car, so how will you get to these places? Well do not worry because there is a ride service called Gatra Go which is free to use for Dean students and takes you anywhere from neighboring towns to Gillette Stadium and The Wrentham Outlets. There is an app you can download which lets you schedule a ride to wherever you need to go.
In the end get rid of your end of the semester stress and go do something fun to relax your mind.
