From the excitement of the opening serve to the quick reflexes off the rebound,
table tennis is always a fun activity, and now Dean students have the opportunity to put
their skills to the test every Friday night.
The new Table Tennis club, hosted by Liam Haworth, takes place every Friday
from 6-8 PM in the Atrium, and Liam hopes to spread the word and build his club
throughout the last month of the semester. Not only is this club a great way to build that
competitive spirit, but it is also an excellent opportunity to socialize with fellow Dean
students that share the same interests. Liam shared a couple of quotes that any student
athlete could get behind: “Excellence doesn't come from skill, it comes from your heart."
The other quote, "Team isn't something you should say without pride."
According to Liam, the club aims to “Have fun while playing table tennis. We are
an inclusive environment and want everyone to have a great time.” When asking Liam
about the freedom of making your club on campus, and brainstorming ideas while doing
so, he said, “I love running my own club. I have done many other clubs during high
school, but I was always a co-leader, so being my own leader is something new to me,
and I love it.”
