The beginning of October has now passed, which means that Dean men’s golf has finished playing in the GNAC tournament. After a hard-fought battle over two days, the Bulldogs ended up in 6th place out of 9 teams, which is where they were polled originally prior to the tournament.

Individually, Freshman Irven Carnes had the best score on the team shooting +29 on the course overall. With this being Carnes' first collegiate regional tournament, this is an impressive feat for the young talent. He ended up tying with 2 other players for 23rd overall.

As a team, Dean scored 6th overall shooting +131 as a team compared to the lowest score of +56 (Emmanuel), and the highest being +153 (Lasell). The other four players of Troy Evans, Case LaChance, Ethan Heuer, and Blake Bolduc, all came between 30-35th out of 44 total players. It was a great effort from the team although they ended up falling short to the rest of the competition.

The team is still optimistic for the Spring semester, however. Evans commentated saying, “Still confident for the spring semester, we have a roster full of young guys and talented golfers, and I know we will bounce back strongly in the Spring.”

While there were areas to improve upon for the 2027 fixtures, the team is confident in their ability and ready to train hard to bounce back this Spring.
