Dean Softball Hosting Craft Fair on September 19th
Dean Softball is hosting a craft fair on September 19th from 10 am to 4 pm as a fundraiser for the program.
The fair will feature local artists, vendors showing off their culinary flair, and direct sales right from the booths. The money raised will go towards the Dean Softball team and their travel expenses for a team trip. In the past, they have started their seasons off by going to places such as Florida and Myrtle Beach to play in the warmer climates before returning to Franklin, Massachusetts for the remainder of the season.
Senior Ari Amaral noted, “I really like all the efforts that Coach Sara Fallon has put into this team. Including all of the fundraising that we have been doing, such as the craft fair. It was super successful last year, and I feel like it really helps out local businesses, as well as the softball team. We want to reach our goal for Florida Spring break, and the craft fair is going to help us do that.”

Fallon has been the main person behind organizing this event along with Kim Lester, mom of Dean catcher Ashley Lester.
The event will take place right on Dean College's campus in front of Dean Hall on Awpie Way at 99 Main Street. The quad will be lined with tables and food trucks for Dean College students and the Franklin community. Plenty of people will be around with directions and information on parking.
Kim Lester, who helped organize the event, said, "People can expect a diverse selection of handmade goods including seasonal wreaths and centerpieces, crocheted items, handbags, and accessories."
There will be plenty of attractions for people of all ages and interests! On top of those items being sold at the booths, there will be tons of food for people to choose from including frozen lemonade, Asian cuisine, sweet treats, hot dogs, walking tacos, and dirty sodas.
