As of Monday February 9th, a new club on campus has officially kicked off. The club is called “Business Minds.” With only a few members in attendance, the club spoke as a collective about what could be accomplished throughout the next semester. Ideas like, sharing stories of how people got internships, creating an open line of communication to grow each other’s networks, and the possibility of field trips to Boston for larger career fairs or opportunity fairs. The great thing about this club, you don’t have to be a business major to join, just a Dean student looking to grow their professional network.
The Dean Daily spoke with the club president, Warren, to hear from him about what his goals are for this new club. He is currently a sophomore RA looking to get more community involvement. He stated, “We aim to create an inclusive business community that brings together motivated students across disciplines to network, exchange ideas, and develop practical skills." He also stated, “By emphasizing real-life experience and peer learning, our club supports students who are serious about building meaningful careers and helping to improve the school’s overall business community.”
He claimed that he doesn’t want the meeting to be run like a DCA class where he stands at the front lecturing off the slides but instead wants open conversations from everyone within the club about things they want to see happen within the business community.

The club’s advisor is Professor Fargnoli. The Dean Daily had an opportunity to communicate with him and ask what things he’s excited about for this new club, and his overall expectations. He stated, “I'm most excited about seeing a true Business School Culture take shape, one where students are actively networking with each other, sharing ideas, and building relationships that will serve them beyond graduation. More attendance means more diverse perspectives in the room. I'd love to see Business Minds become a hub where students feel connected and inspired about their professional futures.”
Very similarly to the conversation with Warren, the club’s president, Fargnoli expressed his expectations for this club saying, “I want this club to be a place where students gain real-world skills and confidence. Whether that's through guest speakers, workshops, networking events, or simply having meaningful conversations with peers. My expectation is that every member walks away better prepared to find a satisfying and fulfilling career. If we can help students feel more connected to the business community, and to each other, then we've accomplished our goal.”
This club meets biweekly on Mondays from 5:00pm to 6:00pm in the Student Center room 205. They are still looking for E-board members for secretary and treasurer. The next meeting will be Monday the 23rd of February. If you’re looking to join this club you can scan the QR code to start receiving emails, notifying you when meetings will happen. Hope to see you there.
