In a win and get into the GNAC tournament game, the Bulldogs came in with one thing on their mind: walking away with the victory, and 3 points added to their season total.

However, they faced a tall task in the #1 seeded Lasell University Lasers, who took the trip from Newton to Franklin and ended the Bulldogs season with a 1-0 Defeat.

Dean came in as the #8 seed in the conference and had the chance to secure themselves a spot in the GNAC Tournament.

The first half ended scoreless, even though it was mostly dominated by the Lasers offensive side of the pitch. Senior goalkeeper for the Bulldogs, Danielle Reinhard, snared five saves in the first half to keep it scoreless and competitive heading into what could be the final 45 minutes of their season.

A similar half of play to the first happened again in the second with Lasell continuing to keep the ball in their possession for the majority of the half.

Multiple scoring opportunities, corner kicks, and takeaways from Lasell would finally crack through the Bulldogs defense. With less than 18 minutes remaining Marisa Krosky would find the back of the net right after a saved penalty kick that ricocheted into her foot and then into the back of the net.

Ultimately, that goal would be the game winning goal for the Lasers and the season losing goal for the Bulldogs.

For Dean, they had a final finish of 5-13-2 overall, 4-8-1 in the GNAC, totaling 13 points. An unfortunate finish for a team who had a real shot of making a deep tournament run. They will finish as the #9 seed, the first team out the GNAC Tournament.

With 11 freshmen on the roster, the Bulldogs will now look to regroup and comeback strong in 2027, while also losing four seniors to graduation.

The GNAC Tournament will begin on Halloween with the GNAC Quarterfinals set as:

#1 Rivier hosting #8 Saint Josephs Maine, 12 PM

#2 Lasell hosting #7 Elms, 1 PM

#3 Emmanuel hosting #6 Norwich, 12 PM

#4 Regis hosting Albertus Magnus, 1 PM

A GNAC Tournament champion will be crowned on Championship Saturday, November 7th.
