Men's Volleyball Scrimmage

On November 21, 2025  Dean Men's Volleyball hosted an internal scrimmage. They split into two teams, white and black, and played each other.

The game started around 7pm and the audience was hyped. The teams were pretty "even" according to Chloe DeMaio who is a Junior on the women's volleyball team. Each team had a libero who were both solid in their positions and there was clearly one dominant hitter on each side, with sophomore hitter Noah Allen one the black team and freshman hitter Travis Johnson on the white.

A big stand out was freshman Evan Boulay because in his first game last night" he became a setter and he showed out and he can ball out" according to captain Arthur Felicio. The game started with team white being coached by Assistant Coach Dean College alum Tyler Martins and team black being coached by Head Coach Mark Ledwich. Team white ended up taking the first set and the second set became close but team white took the second set from black. Coach Mark made some adjustments in the 3rd set and the game went back and forth with black ending up winning the 3rd set.

The score was 2-1 team white and with match point on the line in the 4th set. The score went back and forth till team white hit the ball in the middle and team black was no where to be found. Team white ended up winning the 4th set and both teams combined and huddled up togthers as a whole. The game ended at 8:40pm with team white taking it all 3-1. Captain Arthur says "I am looking forward to this year and to scare the GNAC league and they aren't ready for us. Tonight really showed what we are cable of. I am looking around to be in the 4th seed this year."

The season starts in January 17th, but this was a great game to show Dean College and even the team on how this year could be a great season for men's volleyball.
