MLB Playoff: Road to the 2026 World Series

The stage is set. The Tampa Bay Rays will play the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2026 World Series. But how did we get here?
The Milwaukee Brewers had the best record in the MLB during the regular season. They would win the NL Central division and get a bye to the NLDS. They would play the San Deago Padres who beat the Chicago Cubs in the wild card. The Brewers would win the series in four games and would play the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers were looking for their 3rd straight world series championship.

The Brewers shocked everyone as they swept the Dodgers in four games to punch their ticket to the World Series for the first time since 1982 when they were a part of the American League where they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in seven games. They will host Games 1 and 2 and will host Games 6 and 7 if necessary.
The Tampa Bay Rays had the best record in the American League during the regular season. They won the American League East and got a bye to the ALDS. They would play the New York Yankees who beat the Boston Red Sox in the Wild Card. The Rays would make quick work and sweep the Yankees in three games. The Rays would then play the Cleveland Guardians in the ALCS. The Rays beat the Guardians in six games to punch their ticket to the World Series for the first time since 2020 where they lost to the Dodgers in six games. The Rays will host Games 3-5.
Both the Brewers and the Rays have not won a World Series in their franchise history. One team will walk away with their first. Will it be the best team in the regular season or the best team in the American League?
